Will Gavarkovs

Will Gavarkovs brings seven years of golf industry experience to Windermere Golf and Country Club where he is currently the resident Teaching Professional. Will specializes in all skill levels from beginners to high level tournament players. Graduate of the Humber College Professional Golf Management Program, Will is a sub-scratch handicap, and has played numerous National Championships as well as playing in NCAA and Canadian University events with the Humber Hawks Varsity Golf Team. Will has claimed multiple amateur titles, including the 2015 Willie Park Invitational held at Weston Golf and Country Club. Currently playing PGA Canada events and holding status on various Mini-Tours, Will is always chasing the Tour Pro dream. Will is a certified PGA of Canada Instructor and is certified with Trackman fitting and teaching technology, if you are ever in the Muskoka area, stop by and see him.

Will has most recently climbed on board Team Catalyst, as he says, “it's a line of products I'm proud to represent.” When asked about his decision to represent the brand, Will said “Catalyst is a great new addition to the golf industry that is unlike any other online retailer. They bring premium brands together in a well manicured website making them readily available for consumers. Trusted product lines and great customer service are huge selling points for me, and why I am partnering with this company. As well as offering existing products, they are devoted to creating new and exciting products for all demographics of the golf industry.”

Will, living his life and crafting his game in the small Muskoka town of Windermere, Ontario, is a proud user of the Pelz Player Cottage Golf Kit. “Living in cottage country where there are lakes everywhere you look, an inflatable target and floating golf balls is a great way for people to enjoy the game off the course, but more importantly, the Cottage Golf Kit has the potential to get a golf club in a newcomers hands, get them better at a tough game, and let then have fun while doing it.” The fundamentals of perfect practice while having fun are the pillars that make up Will's teaching philosophy. “Golf should be fun for people,” he says, “and that's what Catalyst brings to the market.”

When finding out that Catalyst Golf had partnered with Dave Pelz on his PELZ Player Suite Collection, Will immediately saw the products applications in his own day-to-day teaching. “In my business, having a brand of training aids that I trust, as well as one that my students trust, is a big help for them to trust the process of the teaching itself. The Dave Pelz name has been well known around the game for decades and I am happy to use his products as I see it pay dividends with my students.” Will sees the partnering of Dave Pelz and Catalyst Golf to be “amazing news for all teaching pros. The importance of matching teaching styles with learning styles of any given student is very important to the success and continued development of a player's skill set, and more often than not, students respond very well to teaching aids. From the positive feedback I've had on the PELZ Player Collection, these are going to be fantastic for the game and everyone in it.”

Will Gavarkovs is very pleased to be partnering with Catalyst Golf, and Catalyst Golf is pleased to have him represent the Canadian Club Professional for us. Wrapping up his commitment to Catalyst, Will says that “as a Teaching Professional and Mini-Tour playing professional, knowing the Catalyst products will help my game, my students' games, and create more enjoyment of the game for everyone in between.”
