Drew Nesbitt, born 1995 in the Horseshoe Valley north of Toronto, is a professional golfer with full status on the PGA TOUR LatinoAmerica. Drew grew up a true Canadian playing hockey in the winters and golf in the summers. When Drew was 17 years old, he took to golf full time, turning pro at the age of 18. Drew moved to Florida that year to compete on the local mini-tour circuits, notching his first win in his second year as a professional.
With that success, Drew strung together a series of good finishes in professional events, playing in his first PGA Tour Event, the RBC Canadian Open, in 2017 in front of his hometown crowd. Drew has continued to qualify into select PGA TOUR events, stringing together a schedule that mixes his commitment to keeping his status on PGA TOUR LatinoAmerica and his desire to play full time on the PGA TOUR. Drew was the first player in PGA TOUR LatinoAmerica to record a 59, which he did in the fall season of 2018, and hope to get status on the Web.com Tour during the 2019 and 2020 season.
Drew, originally from Ontario’s cottage country, says that “Spending summers at the cottage during my youth are some of my best memories, and the best times of my life. Being on the dock and on the lake, there's really nothing like it.” Drew’s love for the cottage is where his passionate support for the PELZ Player Cottage Golf Kit comes from, and when he’s not shooting low numbers in professional events, you can often find him at a friends cottage using the Cottage Golf Kit to improve his short game, and having fun doing it!
